Ronald W. Stovitz ’64 B.A., political science, UC Riverside; ’67 J.D., University of Southern California Law School. After service in the State Bar of California’s General Counsel’s office and as Counsel to the State Bar Court, he was appointed by the California Supreme Court to one of the first full-time judgeships created to decide appeals in all cases of attorney discipline and regulation in 1989. He was reappointed in 1995 and 2000, and elevated to presiding judge in 2001. He continues to sit on the State Bar Court pro tem in retirement. Judge Stovitz currently serves as a member of the National Advisory Board of the Tamarind Institute of the University of New Mexico. Judge Stovitz had served as President of the UCR Alumni Association and currently serves as a Trustee of the UCR Foundation. He serves as Regent and President of the Alumni Associations of UC (AAUC)

Yolanda Nunn Gorman’78 B.A., psychology; ’83 MBA; ’93 Ph.D., education, UCLA. She is is President and Chief Executive Officer of Brilliance Strategies, Inc. a full service management consulting firm that specializes in nonprofit organizational development. In addition, she serves as Interim Dean and chairs a doctoral program in organizational consulting at Phillips Graduate Institute in Encino, California. During her career, Dr. Gorman has assisted private foundations, school districts, universities, and community and faith-based organizations with board development, strategic planning, resource development and research and evaluation. An active volunteer with multiple community, civic and cultural organizations, Dr. Gorman is currently the chair of the board of directors of the California Association of Nonprofits (CAN). Her other volunteer activities include serving as a member of the boards of the UCLA Foundation, CAN Insurance Services, and the National Council of Nonprofit Associations (NCNA). She serves as Regent and AAUC Vice President. |

Rex Hime ’69, B.A. political science; ’72 J.D., UC Davis. He is President and CEO of California Business Properties Association (CBPA), a coalition of leading companies and professional associations in the commercial, industrial and retail real estate sector. He has served as the Presidential as well as the California State Assembly Representative on the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and was a member of the California Task Force on Violence Prevention. Currently he serves as the Governors' appointment to the Board of Directors the California State Fair (CAL-EXPO), was its Chair for two years, and as a Trustee for the Greater Sacramento Valley Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he currently is the Chair. He is a past President of the Cal Aggie Alumni Association and has served on many committees for the Davis campus. He serves as Regent-designate and AAUC Secretary for a one-year term commencing July 1, 2009. |
| Darek DeFreece ’93 A.B. political science, UC Berkeley; J.D., Boston College Law School
Mr. DeFreece is the Immediate Past-President of the California Alumni Association. In addition to the CAA, DeFreece serves as a trustee for the Board of Trustees of the University of California, Berkeley Foundation and is also on the UCB Institute of Governmental Studies National Advisory Council. He serves as Regent-designate and AAUC Treasurer for a one-year term commencing July 1, 2009. |
